One Voice Still Matters

Hi—I’m Nick Petersen, from Mound, Minnesota. Westonka High.

On Inauguration Day 2025, I stood thirteen hours in the cold—numb, red hoodie zipped—then shouted five words: “We love you, Mr. President.”

He turned. Pointed. Melania waved. Twenty thousand people saw it live.

I wrote letters. The White House answered—twice. One handwritten, ink fresh from the Resolute Desk. November 20, 2025. Now it’s in the Archives. Forever.

Not for fame. Just… love. Proof that one quiet voice—ordinary, scared, steady—can still reach the Oval.

Media hasn’t noticed. But that’s okay. This isn’t about headlines. It’s about hope. About how a kid who froze in hallways can grow up, wander the world, then love a country so hard it writes back.

Heading to Washington, D.C. this summer for America 250—the big 250th birthday on July 4th. If you’re media—podcasts, radio, national or international news—I’m more than willing to share this rare civilian honor: five words, the hush, the turn, the letters. No spin. Just the real thing. Feel free to email me.

Or if you’re… just someone who felt the pull—maybe reading late, phone dim—know this:

One voice still matters. Yours too. And if you want to learn about the heart behind who got the President and First Lady to turn at Capital One Arena… I’m right here.

No rush.
