Victory Rally Sunday – Capital One Arena, January 19, 2025

I got into D.C. right at two a.m. Eastern, walked straight to Capital One Arena, joined the line for the Trump Victory Rally. Temp hanging around twenty-one degrees Fahrenheit, light snow drifting.

Just before seven a.m., Griff Jenkins from Fox News rolls down the sidewalk. Puts the mic in my face—live television.

If you’d told me then that twenty-four hours later I’d walk into history, and one year after that I’d be holding a signed letter from the Oval Office… I would’ve just shivered.
