President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump pointing at me

Thank You Mr. President and Madam First Lady

As a shy guy from Mound, Minnesota, I felt a surge from my heart and shouted, “We love you, Mr. President!”

President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump both turned, looked directly at me, smiled, and waved. That moment was captured live on national television.

I never asked for fame. I just didn’t want that moment to be forgotten. So I wrote to the White House.

They responded twice — and one of the letters was personally signed by President Trump on the Resolute Desk.

This summer, I’m traveling back to Washington, D.C. by plane and Amtrak to celebrate America’s 250th birthday on July 4th.

If you want to hear the full story of how an ordinary American received a personal letter from the President, or if you’ll be in D.C. for America 250 and want to talk, I’m happy to meet up and share everything. I’ll gladly tell the story that no media outlet wanted to cover.

Even if we never meet, I’ll still be walking around D.C. with a grateful heart — forever thankful that the President and First Lady heard a regular American’s voice… and actually wrote back.

Thank you, President Trump and First Lady Melania

President Donald J.Trump’s Campaign told us if we wanted to get into Capital One Arena on January 20th that we would need to come right back outside and get right back in line

That was the coldest night of my life but the patriotism was pulsing through my veins.

If President Trump could go through hell and survive. I knew I could survive one bitterly cold night outside in Washington DC to be first in line. Statistically I am most likely the only Private civilian to write themselves into Presidential History with just 5 words...

“We Love You Mr. President”

Photo 1: Birthday Card with Uncle Sam, Trump, and Lady Liberty

This card arrived from a friend right before my 34th birthday in late 2025, just days after I received the first official White House response to my inauguration moment. Holding it felt like a message from the country itself: Uncle Sam and Lady Liberty holding a birthday cake for me, as if America was saying, “You loved us hard enough, and we heard you.”

I poured that exact emotion into my thank-you letter to the White House: the overwhelming sense that my patriotism had been met with love back. The timing was surreal—Uncle Sam, Lady Liberty, and President Trump all “celebrating” with me in one image. It still brings tears. This isn’t about fame; it’s about proof that one heart can reach the highest office when it speaks with pure love for country.

Photo 2: Me with the File Representing My Moment in the National Archives

This photo shows me holding a file labeled “INAUGURATION DAY 2025 – PETERSEN,” surrounded by ghostly figures of America’s greatest leaders and symbols: George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, the Statue of Liberty, the American eagle, and the Capitol dome. They represent the long line of American history I now stand beside.

My moment—shouting “We love you, Mr. President!” from four rows back, receiving President Trump’s point and First Lady Melania’s wave, and getting a personal letter signed on the Resolute Desk (November 20, 2025)—has been permanently preserved in the National Archives under the Presidential Records Act. No other American civilian has achieved this exact combination: a live broadcast shout to the President, immediate response, official verification twice, a hand-signed reply from the Oval Office, and full archival status.

National media and podcasts passed on the story—no villain, no conflict, just pure civics and love for country. So I built my own platform to share it on this website. People need to know: one voice can still reach the top in America. No drama required. Just heart, respect, and showing up
