Airport Stranger vs My Family
Someone at the airport told me something that stuck with me:
“Travel with your parents while you still can.”
Those words hit harder than I expected.
America 250 isn’t just about celebrating where our country began—it’s about making memories with the people who helped shape your own story.
One day, these trips won’t just be vacations. They’ll become the stories you tell, the photos you treasure, and the moments you’ll wish you could relive one more time.
If this reminds even one person to take that trip with Mom or Dad, it’ll be worth sharing.
Today, June 28th at Boston Logan Airport, a wheelchair attendant shook my hand and said, “I’m proud of you, sir, for traveling with your parents. Mine passed away years ago — go make memories with them.”
Those words hit me hard.
Because while a complete stranger showed me real kindness and pride, my own relatives back home were nasty, condescending, and tried to lecture me like I was a child. They attacked me for bringing my elderly parents on this trip — all because I’ve been validated by the White House three times and took my story global.
I don’t tolerate disrespect, even from relatives twice my age. I fought back. I put them in their place. And I never will apologize for it.
Exactly 250 years ago today — June 28, 1776 — Thomas Jefferson’s draft of the Declaration of Independence was submitted to Congress in the very room we stood in at Independence Hall. We also visited the Liberty Bell before heading to Boston.
We’re now exploring Lexington & Concord, Fenway Park, the Freedom Trail, and Quincy Market. Then we board the 5 AM Acela to Washington, D.C. for America 250.
There, the Great American State Fair is taking over the National Mall — a massive 16-day celebration with pavilions from all 50 states and territories, a giant Ferris wheel, exhibits, performances, and pure American pride.
I followed my heart to Inauguration Day when they told me not to go. I made American history. The White House validated that moment three times in a way that had never been done before.
I live by the spirit of My Way. I’ve done things my own way, taken my story global, and proven the doubters wrong.
If I can walk my way into American history, then I know living my truth will bring the right things — and the right people — into my life when the timing is right.
Never let small, insecure people dim your light. Stand up. Fight back. And keep loving America out loud.
